Fatal Crash on KY 812 in Henderson County

Date of News Release: 12/08/2006

(Henderson, KY) Donald "JR" Ray Gaines, operating a 1999 Mitsubishi, was traveling eastbound on KY 812. The vehicle ran off the right shoulder of the roadway, struck a gravel embankment and became airborne. The vehicle overturned at which time Gaines was partially ejected. The vehicle landed on top of Gaines who was pronounced dead at the scene by Henderson County Coroner Don Farris. The Kentucky State Police is investigating the accident.
