Car Pursuit, Injury Crash and Arrest in Webster County

(Henderson, KY) - Henderson City Police began a pursuit around 03:10 in the city of Henderson for reckless driving and possible driving under the influence. Tpr. Mitch Hampton, with KSP joined the pursuit on the southern end of Henderson County which continued into Webster County. Michael Jones, operating a 1998 Chevrolet left the roadway on KY 293 three miles north of Providence and overturned in a ditch. Jones was taken to Regional Medical Center in Madisonville by ambulance. Jones has been charged with Fleeing & Evading Police 1st Offense, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Operating on a DUI Suspended Operator's License, DUI 2nd aggravating circumstances. Jones was treated and released from the hospital and lodged in the Webster County Jail. The pursuit lasted twenty-nine minutes.
