Injury Crash on US 431 in McLean County, KY

(Henderson, KY) - Lawrence Jones was eastbound on KY 85 when he failed to yield the right-of-way to Rodney Morris at the intersection of US 431. Mr. Jones pulled out in front of Mr. Morris, who was traveling southbound on US 431. Mr. Morris, who was operating a 2002 Ford F-350 struck Mr. Jones's 1996 Geo Metro near the driver's side door. Mr. Jones's vehicle turned in a counter clock-wise motion -- ejecting Mr. Jones from the vehicle prior to striking a guardrail. After striking Mr. Jones, Mr. Morris's F-350 also struck a guardrail and turned over onto its passenger side blocking portions of the northbound lane of US 431. Mr. Jones sustained a head injury and was transported to Owensboro hospital by McLean County EMS. Mr. Morris sustained an ankle injury.
