Injury Crash on US 60 Bypass in Owensboro, KY

(Henderson, KY) - Jeff Thomas was operating a 1993 Freight Liner westbound on the US 60 Bypass in Owensboro which was loaded with three rolls of aluminum weighing in excess of 46,000 lbs. When he exited onto the ramp to the William Natcher southbound he failed to negotiate the curve causing the truck to overturn and spill his load. The roadway was shut down for 3 hours while West Side Towing righted the vehicle and cleared the roadway. Sterett Crane was used to load the aluminum coils onto a flatbed. Mr. Thomas was treated at the scene by paramedics and refused transport to hospital.
