Clinton County Assault Investigation and Arrest

(Columbia, KY) - At 10:10 pm Saturday night Kentucky State Police received a call of a shooting that occurred 7 miles east of Albany while victim was driving on KY 90. Stephanie Abbott, Albany KY, age 26 was shot in the leg. She was taken to Clinton County Hospital and transferred to U.K Medical Center. The suspect, victim's ex-husband, Donnie Abbott, was later arrested in Monticello by Monticello Police Department and Wayne Co Sheriff's Department. He was charged with Assault 1st and Wanton Endangerment 1st and lodged in the Clinton County Jail. The investigation is continuing. Tpr Cary was assisted by Sgt Ken Hill and Tpr Toby Young.
