Fatal House Fire Investigation in Adair County

(Columbia, KY) - At approximately 3:00 am CST Kentucky State Police received a report of a house fire 11 miles east of Columbia on Elkhorn road. At this time two bodies have been recovered from the scene. The bodies were sent to Louisville for autopsy. After the autopsies are complete names of the victims will be released.

One subject was arrested at the scene by Adair County Sheriff's Department for public intoxication. This case is being investigated by Detectives Alex Wesley and Kevin Hunt with KSP, Adair County Sheriff's Department and the State Fire Marshall.
