Fatal Crash on HWY 738 in Clinton County

(Columbia, KY) - A fatal crash occurred on September 14th on HWY 738 near Albany, KY. Jeffery Covey age 41 of Albany, KY was traveling westbound on KY HWY 738 when his lost control of his vehicle in a curve and ran off the roadway. Mr. Covey's vehicle then struck a utility pole and overturned.

Mr. Covey was not wearing his seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Clinton County Coroner. Mr. Covey's passenger Edward J. Burns II age 52 of Albany, KY was not wearing his seatbelt and was admitted to the Clinton County Hospital.
