Drug Arrest in Pulaski County

(Columbia, KY) - On September 11, 2006 the Columbia Area HIDTA Drug Task Force received information that four Kentucky residents were suspects in several pharmacy burglaries in Florida. Information advised that the suspects were headed back to Kentucky with destination being Russell County with a large number of hydrocodone pills. Surveillance was conducted on I-75 and Highway 127.

On September 12 at approximately 0400 hours units located the vehicle northbound on I-75. Units conducted a traffic stop in Pulaski County. One subject was arrested on a warrant and a search of a compartment area of the vehicle revealed a total of 4000 hydrocodone pills which were confiscated. A 1996 Chevy Camaro was also seized. Arrested were Adam Vanfleet, Shawn Williams, Heather Morgan, and Tabitha Morgan. All were charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance 2nd Degree and lodged in the Pulaski County jail. Agencies assisting were Kentucky State Police Post 15 and DESI West, Russell Springs Police Department, Russell County Sheriff's Department, and Pulaski County Sheriff's Department. Det. Danny Burton with the Columbia HIDTA Drug Task Force is handling the investigation.
