Stats From Post 15 For July 2006

(Columbia, KY) - During the month of July 2006, there were 44 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There were four fatalities: JEREMY M. MUDD, Springfield, Kentucky was killed in Washington County on 07/01/06, JAMES P. GLIDEWELL, JR., Byrdstown, Tennessee was killed in Clinton County on 07/04/06, LORETTA KEMPER GRAHAM, Campbellsville, Kentucky was killed in Clinton County on 07/22/06, and TEMPIE H. ANDERSON, Tompkinsville, Kentucky was killed in Monroe County on 07/30/06. This brings our yearly fatality count to 29 compared with 28 through this same period in 2005.

State wide fatality count stands at 491 compared with 528 through this same period in 2005.

During the month of July 2006, there were 1770 citations written, 499 courtesy notices written, 2478 vehicles inspected, 1165 complaints answered, 96 motorists assisted, 128 criminal cases opened and 271 criminal arrests made.
