Escapee from the Marion County Adjustment Center

(Columbia, KY) -
Trooper John Adams is investigating an escape from the Marion County Adjustment Center in Saint Mary's, Kentucky. At approximately 4:00 p.m. E.S.T., Jeffrey James Hinkle assaulted three guards at the adjustment center and then fled the grounds.
Hinkle is described as a 36 year-old black male, 5'-6", 130 pounds, with long, partially braided black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion. He has a tattoo of a panther on his chest and 2 small scars on his forehead. He was last seen wearing gray shorts and a white sleeveless t-shirt with unknown numerals on the back in blue lettering.
Hinkle has a long history of burglary, robbery, theft, and other property related crimes. He was serving a sentence from Jefferson County for burglary, receiving stolen property, and being a persistent felony offender.
