Update to Fatal Crash on KY 80 Near Columbia, KY

In reference to the fatal accident that occurred in Adair County on June 25, 2006, the driver of the vehicle has been identified as Dr. Kenneth Wayne Peasley, age 54, of Columbia, Kentucky.

Columbia, KY - Trooper David Gibbs is investigating a one vehicle fatal accident that occurred approximately 6 miles west of Columbia on KY 80 around 0545hrs this morning. The victim was traveling east on KY 80 in a 2001 Chevy pickup when victim ran off the roadway, struck a culvert & a tree, then burst into flames. The identity of driver is unknown at this time, pending an autopsy tomorrow in Louisville.
