Robbery Investigation of the Ramada Inn in Catlettsburg, KY

Trooper Phil Clark, with the Kentucky State Police Post 14 in Ashland, KY has been investigating the Robbery which occurred at the Ramada Inn in Catlettsburg on March 19, 2006. Through investigation, Tpr. Clark developed a suspect, Jill Johnson Sparks of Kenova, WV. Tpr. Clark, with the cooperation of Sgt. Steve Perry of the Kenova Police Department along with other Officers from the Department, responded to Mrs. Johnson's residence and conducted an interview. Through this interview, evidence was obtained linking Mrs. Johnson to the Crime. Tpr. Clark obtained a warrant from the Boyd County Commonwealth Attorneys Office Charging Jill Johnson Sparks, 28 yoa, with Robbery 1st. The Warrant was entered into LINK / NCIC. Mrs. Johnson was arrested early this morning by the Kenova WV Police Department and charged with being a Fugitive from Another State. She is currently awaiting extradition. The incident is still under investigation by Tpr. Clark.
