Injury Crash on Hal Rogers Parkway in Perry County

(Hazard, KY) - At 17:30 hours on December 12, 2006, Kentucky State Police responded to a two vehicle injury accident near 56 mile marker on the Hal Rogers Parkway in Perry County. Unit 1, a 1996 Oldsmobile passenger car operated by James Bowling of Manchester, KY was traveling east bound when he crossed the center line causing a head-on collision with Unit 2, a 1991 Nissan passenger car, operated by Janice Estep of Essie, KY.
Margret Bowling, a passenger in the Oldsmobile was transported to Hazard ARH and then flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She is listed in stable condition. Two other passengers in the vehicle, Ricky Bowling and Jerry Bowling Jr., and the driver of the Nissan were also transported to Hazard ARH. Jerry Bowling and Janice Estep were then transported via ambulance, to the University of Kentucky Medical Center. All are listed in stable condition.
The accident remains under investigation by KSP Trooper Loren Holliday of the Hazard Post. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
