Fayette County Pursuit & Felony Investigation

(Frankfort, KY) - Trooper Stephen Spurlock was traveling east on Interstate 64 when he observed a Dodge pick up with no license plate driving erratically and suspected the driver to be under the influence. Trooper Spurlock activated his emergency equipment and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the vehicle refused to comply and fled south on Interstate 75 exiting at the 115, continuing west on Newtown Pike running traffic lights. The vehicle lost control and struck a fence on Greenwood Drive. Trooper Spurlock attempted to block the vehicle in, but the vehicle backed into Trooper Spurlock's cruiser and pushed him out of the way. The pursuit then continued onto Price Road, and the vehicle lost control and struck a utility pole and brick wall where the suspects escaped on foot. Investigation is continuing by KSP Post 12.
