Drowning Investigation in Franklin County

(Frankfort, KY) - At 0832 hrs Post 12 received a report of a missing person from Anderson County. Residents in the area of Avenstoke Road later reported a submerged vehicle matching the description of the missing person was located in a swollen creek. Units located the vehicle partially submerged. Franklin County Fire Department was notified to assist in retrieving the vehicle. The deceased was the only occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead by the Franklin County Coroner at the scene. The deceased was identified as Rebekah Gresham age 29 of Waddy, KY.
