Train Collides With Car in Waddy, KY

(Frankfort, KY) - On Friday, September 01, 2006 at approx., 10:23 AM a Shelby County Deputy's vehicle and a train collided east of Waddy, KY off the Kings Highway Rd.

Deputy Paul Dugle of the Shelby County Sheriff Department was leaving the Sheriff's firing range. He traveled south across a private drive leading from the firing range and collided with train traveling east owned and operated by Norfolk Southern Railroad.

Shelby County EMS transported the Deputy from the scene to the Flying J Truck Stop where Statcare flew him to the University Of Louisville Hospital. The Collision is under investigation by the Kentucky State Police, Post 12 Frankfort.
