Anderson County Man Charged with Murder

(Post 12 Frankfort) Kentucky State Police death investigation has led to the arrest of Randy E. Balch. On May 2, 2006 the Anderson County Grand Jury indicted Randy E. Balch of Lawrenceburg on murder and other related charges.

On March 15, 2006 Kentucky State Police responded to a residence at 100 block of West Broadway and found a 50 year old white female deceased. Randy E. Balch was taken to the Franklin Co. Regional Hospital with minor injuries. The victim's daughter was transported to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington with minor injuries.

On Thursday, March 16, 2006 at 2:45 AM, Randy E. Balch, age 33 of Lawrenceburg, was charged with Unlawful Imprisonment, Sodomy 1st and Sexual Abuse against the juvenile. He was lodged in the Franklin County Jail. At that present time Kentucky State Police Post 12 was conducting a Death Investigation.
