Traffic Stop and Arrest (Meth Lab) in Laurel County

(LONDON, KY) - On November 13, 2006, at 0252 AM, KSP Sergeant Steve Walker conducted a traffic stop on a 1995 Pontiac vehicle, for a traffic violation, in the city limits of London, KY. The operator, identified as Larry D. Cunnagin, 20, East Bernstadt, KY was subsequently arrested on the charge of Driving Under the Influence (2nd Offense) and other traffic related violations. A search of the vehicle was conducted and numerous items used to manufacture methamphetamine were located, along with a quantity of anhydrous ammonia. Cunnagin along with three (3) passengers, identified as Bobby Belcher, 27, East Bernstadt, KY, Julie Davidson, 27, London, KY and Samantha Elza, 27, East Bernstadt, KY were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Unlawful Possession of Anhydrous Ammonia and Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors. Sergeant Steve Walker and Trooper Michelle Lunsford are continuing the investigation. They were assisted by London Police Sergeant Stewart Walker, Officer Nick Jones and Officer Josh Gaylor.
