Fatal Crash on US-25 in Whitley County, KY

(LONDON, KY) - On Sunday June 11, 2006 at approximately 3:15 p.m. Kentucky State Police at London received a call of a two vehicle accident on us-25 (Falls road approximately 1 mile south of Corbin, KY.

According to Kentucky State Police Trooper Kenneth Fuson a 2005 Ford F-150 pickup driven by Terry Keith (age 41) 239 Woodchase Avenue Corbin, KY was traveling at a high rate of speed when he encountered a curve and came into a skid striking a 1998 ford mustang convertible driven by Brenda Watts (age 37) 136 Grove Avenue Dayton Ohio.

Brenda Watts was pronounced dead at the scene by the Whitley County Coroners Office. A passenger in the car was her son Joshua Watts (age 14) 136 Grove Avenue Dayton, Ohio. Joshua was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

Terry Keith was airlifted to the University of Tennessee where he was listed in stable condition. Alcohol is suspected as a contributing factor with charges pending at this time.

Assisting Trooper Fuson at the scene was Kentucky State Police Trooper David Lassister, Whitley County Sherif'fs Department and the Whitley County Coroners Office.
