Armed Robbery Investigation in Harlan County

(COLDIRON, KY) On 12/13/2006 at 12:57 a.m., Kentucky State Police Post 10 received a call for the second time in seven days of an armed robbery at the Coldiron BP in Coldiron, KY. The clerk advised that there were two men wearing ski masks and dark clothing and one of the men was armed with a pickaxe. The subjects took cash and then fled the scene on foot. Responding to the call were Troopers James Hensley and Jason Young from KSP Post 10 Harlan. The Troopers searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the subjects that committed the robbery.
