Counterfeit Operation Broke Up in Harlan County, KY

(HARLAN, KY) On 6/02/2006 Troopers from Kentucky State Police Post 10 broke up a counterfeit operation at the residence of Walter Webb Jr. in Watts Creek, Harlan County Kentucky. The investigation initiated during a traffic stop on US 119 in Bell County by Trooper Curtis Pingleton. Trooper Pingleton recovered $50 counterfeit bills from a vehicle driven by Leslie Webb. After further investigation at the Webb residence, counterfeit currency and equipment were seized by Trooper Rob Farley and Trooper Jim Whitaker. The United States Secret Service has been notified and will also conduct an investigation. Charges are pending and this case is still under investigation by Trooper Jason Adams Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
