Indoor Marijuana Grow Arrest in Miracle, KY

Date of News Release: 05/03/2006

(Miracle, KY) On 5/03/2006 at 7:20 p.m., Trooper Tyson Lawson, Trooper Curtis Pingleton and Lieutenant P.J. Burnett Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan were attempting to serve a warrant in the community of Brownies Creek in Bell County.

The warrant was for Tina D. Fields age 38, a fugitive from the state of Michigan. While attempting to serve the warrant, Troopers observed a marijuana plant growing inside the residence sitting in a picture window. After further investigation, an indoor grow operation was discovered and 23 marijuana plants valued at $57,000.00, indoor grow equipment, two firearms were recovered and four arrest were made.

Arrested were; Brenda S. McCauley age 56 of Miracle, Ky. was charged with Cultivating Marijuana over 5 plants, class "D" felony, which carries up to 5 years in prison. Tina D. Fields age 38 of Miracle, Ky. was charged with Cultivating Marijuana over 5 plants, class "D" felony and Fugitive from Justice. Andrew Turner age 37 of Miracle, Ky. was charged with Cultivating Marijuana over 5 plants, class "D" felony. Frederick A. Graff age 68 of Miracle, Ky. was charged with Cultivating Marijuana over 5 plants with a Firearm, class "C" felony that carries up to 10 years in prison.

All subjects were lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.

This case is still under investigation by Trooper Tyson Lawson Kentucky State Police Post 10 Harlan.
