Conspiracy to Possess with intent to Distribute Cocaine / Crack Cocaine Arrest

(Pikeville, KY) - On November 18, 2005 at 5:15 PM Detectives from Kentucky State Police Post 9 Pikeville, the FBI and Appalachain HIDTA Task Force, with assistance from KSP Drug Enforcement East, KSP K-9, KSP Special Response Team, executed a Federal Search Warrant and 2 Arrest Warrants at a residence in Floyd County.
While at the residence several ounces of cocaine was found along with cash, drug parphernalia and weapons. The two subjects (names not to be released at this time) were arrested without incident and charged with Conspiracy to Possess with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine / Crack Cocaine.
The execution of these arrest warrants and search warrant is the result of a three month joint investigation in which over 15 ounces of cocaine/ crack cocaine valued at over $45,000 was purchased from the accused. This is the largest crack cocaine arrest made in recent years in eastern Ky.
The case remains under investigation by Detectives of the Kentucky State Police, the FBI and HIDTA.
