Human Remains Found Identified

(Richmond, KY) - The skeletal remains of an adult male, which were found by a group of hunters on 9/11/2005, on the Madison/Jackson County Line, have been identified as those of Billy Joe Potter-age 44, of Berea. Mr. Potter was reported missing on 7/14/2005. Through the use of the victim's medical records, Dr. Emily Craig, State Forensic Anthropologist, was able to make a positive identification. The cause of death has not been determined at this time. The remains will undergo further examination and testing by Dr. Craig. This case remains under investigation by Detective Mike Stotts.
