A Shooting In Mercer County, KY

(Richmond, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond, is currently investigating a shooting that occurred on Bohon Road in Mercer County. On Wednesday, August 10, 2005, troopers of the Kentucky State Police responded to a domestic disturbance with shots fired at the Angela and Arthur Souvenier residence on Bohon Road. Arthur Souvenier was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon. Angela Souvenier was charged with Terroristic Threatening after she threatened the life of her husband in the trooper's presence. Angela Souvenier had no visible injuries and told the responding troopers that she was not injured. Both parties were extremely intoxicated at the time of the incident. Angela and Arthur Souvenier were lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center. On 8/11/2005, Angela Souvenier complained of injuries and was transported to the UK Medical Center, where it was determined that she had sustained a gunshot wound to the head. She is currently in stable condition. Arthur Souvenier was charged with Assault 1st in the shooting of his wife, Angela Souvenier. The case remains under investigation by Trooper Mark Young.
