KSP Post 7 Investigates An Assault 1st Degree

(Richmond, KY) - The Kentucky State Police Post 7 Richmond is currently investigating an assault that occurred this afternoon in the Muddy Creek area of Madison County. The victim, an adult female, was able to escape from the perpetrator and seek help. She was transported to Berea Hospital. Her injuries are non-life threatening. Troopers have located the crime scene and are currently processing it for evidence. The perpetrator has not been located but has been identified. Troopers are using a K-9 in an attempt to locate the perpetrator. The identity of the victim and the perpetrator is not being released at this time. The investigation by Detective Stotts continues.
