Murder Investigation and Arrest

(Richmond, KY) - On Sunday, February 20th, 2005, Jane Ellen Adkins was found deceased inside her residence in Sand Gap, Kentucky.

An autopsy was performed at the State Medical Examiners Office in Frankfort, Kentucky. The cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma to the head.

An investigation was conducted and it was determined through witness statements that Jane Adkins had been involved in a domestic altercation with her boyfriend, Brian Keith Parker. Brian Parker assaulted Jane Adkins and carried her into their residence, where he left her inside alone. Brian Parker came back the next day and found her deceased.

The exact time of death has yet to be determined. Brian Parker has been charged with murder of Jane Adkins and was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.

The case remains under investigation by Detective Joie Peters and Trooper Starlin Hacker.
