Glenco Man Arrested With Over 5 Pounds Of Marijuana

(Glenco, Kentucky) - On September 14, 2005 at 2:30pm Trooper Tim Vinal stopped Richard E. Snell, age 61 from Glenco, KY for a traffic violation on KY-127 in Glenco, KY. While talking to Mr. Snell, Trooper Vinal detected the strong smell of marijuana coming from Mr. Snell's vehicle. Further investigation by Trooper Vinal lead him to locate 5 1/2 pounds of freshly processed marijuana in Mr. Snell's vehicle.

Richard E. Snell has been charged with:

Trafficking in Marijuana over 5 pounds - C felony - 5 to 10 years in prison
Speeding
No Insurance

He was lodged in the Carroll County Detention Center. Trooper Vinal was assisted by other KSP personnel as well as the Gallatin and Owen County Sheriffs Offices.
