Fatal Residential Fire in Leitchfield, KY

Date of News Release: 08/27/2005

(Elizabethtown, KY) - At 5:18 am Grayson County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a residential fire at 109 Orchard Street Lot 3, Leitchfield. All three victims were living at the residence at the time of the fire. Mr. Sullivan escaped the fire and Mr. Clifton was pulled out of the residence by neighbors. Mrs. Sullivan was overcome by smoke and was unable to escape the residence. Mr. Sullivan was treated and released at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. Mr. Clifton was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital and is in critcal but stable condition. The case is still under investigation by the Kentucky State Police and the Kentucky State Fire Marshall with assistance from the Grayson County Coroner's Office and Leitchfield Fire Department.
