Armed Robbery Investigation and Arrest

(Elizabethtown, KY) - Kentucky State Police Post 4 was contacted on may 23, 2005 at 4:24 a.m. by Kenneth Hawk, who stated that he had just been robbed at gunpoint in front of the Shepherdsville Dairy Queen while working on the newspaper machine.
The two males took approximately $20 in quarters from the victim, and fled the area in a vehicle that the victim could only describe as a silver passenger car with tape over the license plate. The victim attempted to follow the robbers south on I 65 at a safe distance.
Troopers Manuel Cruz and Brian Mouser located a vehicle matching the description given by the victim on I 65 south bound near Lebanon Junction. Troopers initiated a felony traffic stop, and the accuseds were taken into custody without incident.
The Lebanon Junction Police Department and the Bullitt County Sheriff´s Office assisted the Kentucky State Police on scene. Trooper Roger Waters is leading the investigation.
