A Bowling Green Woman Arrested for Assualt 1st on a KSP Detective

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - At approximately 22:20 hours the violator, Holland Suzanne Davis, pulled into Red Barn Liquors on U.S. 31-W By-Pass in Bowling Green & attempted to purchase alcohol.

Detective Skaggs, Detective Clark, & Trooper Thornberry were at this location working a COPS IN SHOPS detail to try to prevent the sale of alcohol to minors.

The Violator displayed a driver's license, which did not match her identity, to the attendant. Detective Skaggs approached the vehicle introducing himself as a state police detective & showed Ms. Davis his badge. Detective Skaggs asked her if the license was hers; she claimed it was. As units were attempting to run the driver's license information, the female sped off squealing tires & nearly ran over Detective Skaggs. Detective Skaggs grabbed the vehicle & ordered the to driver to stop. Ms Davis accelerated & drug Detective Skaggs across the parking lot nearly striking Detective Clark & Trooper Thornberry when she exited the parking lot onto 31-W By-Pass.

Marked units were dispatched & KSP & BGPD canvassed the area where the vehicle was last seen. KSP Trooper Derek Grant located the vehicle at Gable Apartments. The violator was located inside an apartment on the property. Ms. Davis was arrested on Assault 1st degree - Police Officer - Three Counts, Fleeing & Evading Police 1st degree, Using false I.D. to purchase alcohol, Displaying a Fictitious Operator's License, Theft of Identity, & Minor entering a place to purchase alcohol charges & lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.

Detective Skaggs sustained minor injuries; Detective Clark & Trooper Thornberry were not injured. Investigation Continues.
