Identification of Homicide Victim
Date of News Release: 08/11/2005
(Bowling Green, KY) - Kentucky State Police received a call from the Allen County S.O. on July 28th that a vehicle had been located containing two bodies just off of Halifax Rd on a gravel ln. Upon arrival, KSP investigators found that the vehicle had been burned and that identification of the victims was not readily apparent. On August 2nd, 2005 the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office was able to make a positive identification on one of the victims by dental records. The subject was identified as 38 year old Daniel W. Froedge of Park City, KY. Autopsy results revealed that Froedge was the victim of a homicide. Identification of the second subject is still under investigation. No further details are being released at this time.
**Update: On August 11, 2005 the Kentucky State Medical Examiners Office was able to make a positive identification on one of the victims by dental records. The subject was identified as 32 year old Kelly O. Johnson. Autopsy results revealed that Johnson was the victim of a homicide. No further details are being released at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
