June 2005 Activity Report

(BOWLING GREEN, KY) - The Post Commander, Captain Jeff Mayberry of the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 is reporting the following activity for the month of June 2005.

Troopers and Detectives issued a total of 1,701 citations of which 646 were for speeding, 119 for no seatbelts, and 8 for no child restraint. Fifty-Three people were arrested for driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Troopers issued 402 courtesy notices investigated 114 accidents, of which 2 were fatalities, and assisted 246 motorists, while inspecting 2,194 vehicles.

Detectives and Troopers investigated 1,455 complaints, and opened 189 criminal cases, and made 334 criminal arrests, and investigated 7 non-criminal cases.

Troopers also worked 600 special details and programs for June.
