Felony Arrest in Hopkins County, KY

(Hopkins County) - On Wednesday, November 9, 2005, the Kentucky State Police received information on a possible location of Heath W. Sissom. Mr. Sissom was wanted by the Greenville, KY, Police Department on charges relating to the theft of a fuel truck from the Muhlenberg County Airport.

Trooper Rice observed a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle that Mr. Sissom was believed to be in. Trooper Rice initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle and Mr. Sissom fled on foot. Mr. Sissom was apprehended by Trooper Rice and Madisonville Police Department and charged with possession of controlled substance in the first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia-first offense, fleeing or evading police in the second degree. Mr. Sissom was also served with warrants for kidnapping, theft by unlawful taking o/$300, and bench warrants for failure to appear. Mr. Sissom was lodged in the Hopkins County Detention Center.
