Update to Cochrane Murder Investigation

Dawson Springs, KY (Hopkins County) - On Friday, October 14, 2005 investigators from the Kentucky State Police obtained arrest warrants for two individuals in reference to the Billie M. Cochrane murder investigation.

Arrest warrants have been obtained for Fred W. (Billy) Roulette age 25 of Hammond, IN and Miranda M. Marts age 20 of Hammond, IN. Currently both Roulette and Marts are being held in the Lake County (Indiana) Jail awaiting extradition.

Upon their return to Kentucky, Roulette will be charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence and Marts will be charged with complicity to murder.

On Tuesday, August 23, 2005 the Kentucky State Police responded to call in Dawson Springs reference a death investigation. The victim, Billie M. Cochrane age 72 of Dawson Springs, had been stabbed multiple times and died as a result of her wounds.
