Illegal Possession Of Alcohol In Dry Territory Arrests

Dawson Springs, KY (Hopkins County) - On Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at approximately 4:50 p.m., Tpr. Bob Winters conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on US 62 (Main Street) in Dawson Springs. Located in the trunk of the vehicle were forty-three (43) ½ pints of whiskey individually wrapped in brown paper bags. The driver, James D. Gray age 75 of Dawson Springs, was charged with Illegal Possession of Alcohol in Dry Territory 1st Offense. The passenger, Harold E. Cummins age 71 of Dawson Springs, was charged with Illegal Possession of Alcohol in Dry Territory 2nd Offense. Both men were cited to court. Their court appearance is scheduled for October 24th in Hopkins District Court. The alcohol was seized.
