Domestic Violence Arrest in Princeton, KY

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - While working on Saturday, September 10th, 2005 at approximately 6:30 p.m., Tpr. Mike Ray heard a call dispatched to the Princeton Police Department reference a disturbance at Movie World in Princeton. A male subject was supposedly fighting with patrons of the store. Tpr. Ray was close to the call and responded. When Tpr. Ray arrived the male subject, later identified as Michael Kirby age 25 of Eddyville, KY, fled on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Tpr. Ray apprehended him. Kirby was charged with assault 4th degree-domestic violence, violation of epo/dvo, assault 4th degree and fleeing/evading police and lodged in the Caldwell County Jail. Two females were involved in the fight with Kirby: Tesa Kirby, Michael Kirby's estranged wife, and Brenda Ausenbaugh. Tesa Kirby sustained minor injuries, but did not require medical treatment. Ausenbaugh was transported to the Caldwell County Hospital where she was treated and released.
