Attempted Suicide in Hopkins County, KY
Date of News Release: 08/25/2005
(Hopkins County) - Kentucky State Police received a call reference a male threatening suicide. Kevin Conrad, 36, was at the edge of a cornfield armed with a shotgun. Troopers negotiated with Conrad to surrender the weapon but he refused. During the negotiations, Mr. Conrad shot himself in the head. He was transported by ambulance from the scene and later airlifted to a nearby hospital.
