Assault 1st Degree Arrest in Marion, KY

Marion, KY (Crittenden County) - On August 9, 2005 at approximately 3:09 a.m., troopers were dispatched to a complaint on Lone Star Road approximately 5 miles southeast of Marion reference a stabbing. Upon arriving, officers discovered that the accused, Keith Gorden age 42 of Fredonia, KY and a female at the residence had had an altercation. During this altercation, a male juvenile intervened on behalf of the female. Keith Gorden supposedly stabbed the male juvenile with a knife. The juvenile was stabbed underneath his left armpit and had several lacerations. The juvenile was transported to the Crittenden County Hospital and admitted. Keith Gorden apparently sustained minor injuries during the altercation. He was transported to the Crittenden County Hospital where he was treated and released. He was then lodged in the Crittenden County Jail charged with assault 1st degree (B felony) and criminal mischief 3rd degree (B misdemeanor). The criminal mischief charge stems from two tires being slashed on the female subject's vehicle. Tpr. John Komar, the Crittenden County Sheriff's Department and Crittenden County EMS assisted at the scene.
