Marijuana Eradication in Madisonville, KY

Madisonville, KY (Hopkins County) - On August 1, 2005 troopers from the Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville eradicated 130 marijuana plants in Hopkins County. The plants were located in a cornfield and wooded area off of Pete Gibson Road approximately 9 miles north of Madisonville.

The marijuana plants were then transported to the Webster County Road Department where they were destroyed. At the present time, no arrests have been made.

The Kentucky State Police will continue their marijuana eradication efforts throughout the summer.
