KSP Post 2 Investigates a Robbery 1st Degree

Hanson, KY (Hopkins County) - The Kentucky State Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at approximately 45 minutes after midnight. The robbery occurred at the Pantry located on US Hwy. 41 in Hanson.

As the store clerk was closing out her register for the night, an African-American male entered the store. The suspect approached the counter and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect extended one hand out and kept the other hand in his coat. There was no weapon seen by the clerk. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled the store on foot.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, approximately 5'10" in height and weighing approximately 190 lbs. He was last seen wearing a light blue hooded sweatshirt and an orange and black bandana over his face.
