Murder and Assault First Degree Arrest

Date of News Release: 06/20/2005

Caldwell County - On June 17, 2005 Tpr. Steve Silfies charged Kyle H. Millikan age 23 of Salem, KY with two (2) counts of murder and two (2) counts of assault first degree. The charges stem from a vehicle crash that occurred on August 25, 2004 in Caldwell County. On that date, Mr. Millikan was operating a 1999 Ford Econoline Van eastbound on the Western Kentucky Parkway at approximately the 22 mile-marker when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Four other subjects were in the vehicle when it crashed. Two were pronounced dead at the scene and the other two sustained serious injuries. A blood test on Mr. Millikan revealed that he was driving under the influence of drugs. A Caldwell County Grand Jury Indicted Mr. Millikan for murder (2 counts) and assault first degree (2 counts) on June 15, 2005. Tpr. Steve Silfies served the warrants on Mr. Millikan on June 17, 2005 at the Calloway County Jail where he was being held on unrelated charges.
