Stats From Post 2 For May 2005

For the month of May 2005, Post 2 reports the following activity:

  • Arrested 54 Drunken Drivers
  • Issued a Total of 2,396 Citations
  • Issued 969 Speeding Citations
  • Issued 434 Seatbelt Citations
  • Issued 23 Child Restraint Citations
  • Issued 1,062 Courtesy Notices
  • Investigated 112 Crashes
  • Inspected 4,370 Vehicles
  • Assisted 273 Stranded Motorists
  • Answered 1,265 Criminal Complaints
  • Opened 116 Criminal Cases
  • Made 178 Criminal Arrests

There were four (4) fatal crashes reported in the Post 2 District in May 2005. Four (4) people were killed as a result of the crashes. Single fatalities occurred in Crittenden, Christian, Hopkins and Todd Counties. Two (2) of the victims were not wearing seatbelts. One (1) victim was wearing a seatbelt. It is not known if one (1) victim was wearing a restraint. There were no fatal crashes reported in the Post 2 District during the Memorial Day Period.

Through May 31, 2005, fourteen (14) people have been killed in thirteen (13) crashes in the Post 2 District. Seven (7) victims were not wearing a seatbelt, three (3) victims were wearing a seatbelt, one (1) victim was not wearing a helmet, and three (3) victims it is unknown if a seatbelt was worn.

Through May 31, 2004, twenty (20) people had been killed in seventeen (17) crashes in the Post 2 District.

Post 2 serves the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.
