Stats From Post 2 For March 2005

For the month of March 2005, Post 2 reports the following activity

  • Arrested 51 Drunken Drivers
  • Issued a Total of 1,666 Citations
  • Issued 570 Speeding Citations
  • Issued 247 Seatbelt Citations
  • Issued 22 Child Restraint Citations
  • Issued 853 Courtesy Notices
  • Investigated 99 Crashes
  • Inspected 2,246 Vehicles
  • Assisted 224 Stranded Motorists
  • Answered 1,161 Criminal Complaints
  • Opened 138 Criminal Cases
  • Made 195 Criminal Arrests

There were four (4) fatal crashes reported in the Post 2 District in March 2005. Five (5) people were killed as a result of the crashes. Single fatality crashes occurred in Christian, Muhlenberg and Webster Counties. A double fatality crash occurred in Hopkins County. One victim was not wearing a seatbelt, one was not wearing a helmet, one was wearing a seatbelt and two it is not known if a seatbelt was worn.

For the year of 2005, nine (9) people have been killed in eight (8) fatal crashes in the Post 2 District. Five (5) victims were not wearing seatbelts, one (1) victim was not wearing a helmet, one (1) victim was wearing a seatbelt and two (2) victims it is not known if a seatbelt was worn.

Through March 31, 2004 there had been three (3) fatal crashes resulting in the loss of three (3) lives in the Post 2 District.

Post 2 serves the following counties: Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Muhlenberg, Todd, and Webster.
