Fire Investigation in Caldwell County, KY Ruled Accidental

Princeton, KY (Caldwell County) - An autopsy was performed today at the State Medical Examiner's Office in Madisonville. The victim, William P. Jenkins age 41, died as a result of smoke inhalation. Investigators have determined that the fire was accidental, caused by a cigarette that ignited a couch inside the residence.

Rescue personnel had responded to a residential fire on Ray Martin Road off KY 128 on March 20, 2005 at approximately 12:25 a.m. Mr. Jenkins was located inside the residence.
