Robbery 1st Degree Investigation in Hickman County, KY
Date of News Release: 11/29/2005
(Mayfield, KY) - At 3:21 A.M. Timothy Boyd stated he was Northbound on the Purchase Parkway when a vehicle pulled in behind his semi around the 3 mile marker. He noticed flashing headlights and blue lights in the grill of the vehicle. He thought he was being pulled over for speeding and pulled to the shoulder of the road. He exited his vehicle and was met by a man wearing dark clothing carrying a flashlight. He was asked to walk around to the passenger side of the truck where a second man confronted him. This man asks him for his driver's license and when he produced his wallet he was struck in the back of the head with an unknown object and pushed to the ground. As he attempted to get up, he was kicked in the mouth and ribs.
The two then left in a dark colored full sized 4-door sedan in unknown direction. Boyd described the two men as white males, mid 20's with a military style haircut, clean-shaven; approximately 6 feet tall and medium build. They were wearing black T-shirts with what appeared to be a star or some type of insignia on the left side of the shirt and black utility pants. Neither men produced a gun. Boyd was taken to Parkway Regional Hospital where he was treated for cuts and bruises and released.
