The Kentucky State Police Post One Activity Report for the month of August is as follows:

Post One Mayfield covers the 11 counties of Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Lyon, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg. As of August 31, 2005 there have been 39 people killed in fatal collisions in the Post One area. Of those who died, 19 were not wearing their seat belt and 10 involved alcohol. During the same time period in 2004, there were 39 people killed in the Post One area. Statewide in 2005, there have been 606 people killed compared to 627 in 2004.
