KSP Officer Promoted, Remains Assigned to Mayfield Driver Testing

FRANKFORT, Ky. (Aug. 23, 2005) - Kentucky State Police Tpr. Jonathan Grant was one of 39 KSP officers recently promoted. Grant was promoted to sergeant and remains assigned to the Driver Testing Branch in the Mayfield area.
Before joining the KSP in 1993, Grant graduated from Ohio County High School in 1990 and is a 1993 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University.
Besides the Driver Testing Branch, he also has worked at the Mayfield Post during his career. He resides in Mayfield.
Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of the Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Steve Pence complimented all 39 promoted officers for their efforts. "These men and women...have dedicated themselves to advancing the mission of the Kentucky State Police," said Pence. "On behalf of the Commonwealth, I want to commend the promotional recipients...for their commitment to public service and safety."
KSP Commissioner Mark L. Miller cited the diligence that troopers must possess to be promoted. "These officers have dedicated countless hours of training, studying, testing, interviewing and otherwise maintaining the highest standards to take their place as leaders in the Kentucky State Police," said Miller.
