KSP Post 1 In Search of Two Cadiz, KY Men Following A Fatal Shooting

(CERULEAN, KY.) Kentucky State Police have arrest warrants for two Cadiz, KY men following a fatal shooting in Cerulean, KY. George Kelly Mayes, 24 of Cadiz and Devron D. Wadlington, 20 of Cadiz face murder charges in connection with the shooting death of a Princeton, KY man.

On 5-22-05 at 1:17 A.M. Trigg County Authorities responded to a reported shooting outside a club in Cerulean. Upon arrival, officers found the victim, LaWarren O'Keith Sims 23 years-of-age of Princeton, lying on the ground. Witnesses advised investigators Mayes and Wadlington were involved in an altercation with an unnamed man and it's believed this man was the intended target of the shooting.

Mayes and Wadlington are believed to be armed and dangerous. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these two men can contact Kentucky State Police at 1-800-222-5555 or the Trigg County Sheriff's Department at (270) 522-8888. The Trigg County Sheriff's Department and the Cadiz Police Department assisted Kentucky State Police at the scene. The investigation is continuing by Kentucky State Police.
