Pursuit, Accident, and Arrest made in McCracken County, KY

(Hickory, KY) - At 00:25 Carlisle County Sheriff's Deputy began pursuit of the suspect (David C. Tomlinson, Jr.) vehicle on Highway 121 when the vehicle was clocked at 72 mph in a 55 mph zone, amd Mr. Tomlinson failed to yield.

Kentucky State Police were notified and joined the pursuit, making contact with the vehicle on Highway 1241 at Leeder Bottoms. Vehicle became southbound in the northbound lane on Highway 45 almost striking one State Police vehicle before crossing back over into the southbound lanes. Mr. Tomlinson, Jr. vehicle continued southbound approximately 3 miles before losing control at US 45 and Lebanon Church Road. Mr. Tomlinson's vehicle struck a fence and tree and came to final rest on top of a tree. An engine fire was extinguised on scene prior to the Fire Departments arrival.

KSP was assisted on scene by the Paducah Police Department, McCracken County Sheriff's Office, Carlisle County Sheriff's Office, graves County Sheriff's Office, Fish and Wildlife, Mercy EMS and the Lone Oak Fire Department.

Mr. Tomlinson was arrested for Fleeing and Evading 1st, Wanton Endangerment 1st, Speeding, Improper Lane Usage, Possession of Marijuana, and other charges could be pending.
